Dzintari concert hall in Jurmala is one of the gems of Latvian Art Deco and national romanticism architecture. Its history began in the end of the 19th century, but the current building was constructed in 1936, based on a project by architect Viktors Mellenbergs.

In 1962 the building was expanded with the addition of an open air concert hall for up to 2000 spectators, making it the Big hall of the concert hall. During the Soviet period, Dzintari concert hall was one of the most significant culture centres in the Soviet Union; after Latvia regained its independence and the Soviet Union collapsed, Dzintari concert hall maintained its cultural significance both for visitors and locals alike, and it is actively hosting various cultural events.

Recently the building underwent a major reconstruction, and the freshly renovated Small hall of Dzintari concert hall yet again hosts concerts and performances. The interior of the building has been renovated to its former glory, too, pleasing all its visitors. This building of national importance rests in the very heart of the resort city - Jurmala.
